Default Edelbrock performer RPM heads

How do these compare to heads like trickflows and AFRs? Are they on par? I'm thinking about buying a car that has these heads on it... but i really havnt heard a lot about them. thanks guys.

I have em, and I like them. Mine have been ported and polished, but they're generally regarded as a good head. Do you have a part number?

i have em as-well.. the mustang shop i go to recomend them and trickflows...the other local mustang shop recomends the edelbrocks highly..edelbrocks have a 170cc intake runner ( depending on what head you wanna run) afr's are 185 or 165cc....185 is way much for a 302 based car from what i have read and been told, but i could be wrong dont hold me to it...to big of an intake runner means more power up in the high rpms which is no good for the street

Definitely a good head. I like the AFR 165 best for a killer street machine, but you can't go wrong with Edelbrock or Trick Flow either.

I'm gonna possibly be buying a set of rpms from a friend with 1.90/1.60's and they performed well on his ride, they are decent heads

My engine is being built right now and my builder recommended Edelbrock heads (Part#60399) with the 2.02"/1.60" valves, with an RPM II, 75mm TB and EGR. I'll let you know how they perform. I've never had AFR's or Trick Flow's but i hear that the people that have them swear by them.
