Default PCV problem

just got the stroker installed and fired up for the first time. however it was having trouble idling and oil was dripping from the bottom of the throttle body. pulled the cold air intake off and the was a pool of in the upper intake manifold comming from the pcv vaccum line. replaced the valve and still had the same problem. anyone run into this before?

did you re-install the PCV screen that sits underneath the valve?

well to have a lil bit of oil in the intake is normal, but a pool of it around your tb? doesnt sound right. are your vac lines good? none pinched? pcv good? did you replace the pcv screen?

ya i put in a new screen, pcv valve and it has all new lines run. if you open the throttle plate there is puddle of oil that will slowly run out if you hold it open. I'm stumped on what to do. none of the lines are pinched and everything is new so i'm not sure what is going on

i imagine that you are running aftermarket valve covers... do they have a breather port on them? if so, are you running a vac line to that port?

I am running factory valve covers and they have the factory line running from the neck to the intake.

the best i can suggest without seeing the motor, is to pull all your vac lines 1 at a time and inspect inside them for oil. its coming from somewhere, just need to find it.

yea thats how i found it. it is coming from the line that is attached to the pcv valve. the line has an oily residue in it and the fitting is oily. but i am trying to figure out why it would be sucking so much oil in

plugged up oil return holes, maybe?
Best quick-fix for this would be to fab up a PCV catch can setup.
You can do this with an air/water separator for an air compressor, less than $20 at Home Depot.

yea i thought of seperating it with that type of filter but i would really like to get it fixed right without using that sort of setup. it can't be plugged oil hole because the motor has only been run for about 45 minutes and its all new stuff. changed the oil on it too after letting it run for a while on initial stratup and it didn't have anything in the oil that would cause that. it really has me stumped but thank you for your input i might have to end up doing that
