PCV problem

take the pcv off and just runn breathers on the valve cover, you want want the oil going into the intake, its like it cuts down the octane of your fuel in half and your running lean.
the rings in your new motor are prob not set in yet, takes a while for some of them so right now you have a little more blow by and thats why the oil is getting pushed through the valve cover.

Check this for some background info...

I haven't seen the motor, and I don't know for sure what your pcv setup really is,
but my opinion is that you need to increase the VOLUME that the pcv system can flow, which will decrease the velocity of crankcase gasses leaving the lifter valley.

Is the lean AFR supposed to be caused by the octane drop?
Care to back some of that up? Any documentation to support this?
Sounds like internet hogwash to me,
