I use Stant. Dont go any lower than a 180. Anything lower and your computer will run open-loop and youll end up running rich. Mileage will be total crap and the engine may never warm up.

Unless your setup is tuned to run a lower thermo, say a 160, stick with a 180 or stock, which is around 197.

omg, are you serious, i didnt know that running a 160 thermostat would cause mileage to go to hell. mine isnt tuned to run one and i have been for awhile now, my mileage was fine until i put an intake spacer on, now the mileage has really went to hell. engine warms up fine, but i only get around 4-6 mpg.

all i have done to my car is a forged standard bore bottom end, World Windsor Jr. Heads, 1.6 rockers, B303 cam, Cobra intake, 75mm tb, 76mm maf, long tube headers, 160 degree thermostat, advanced timing, AOD tranny w/ full manual Lentech valve body, 2800 Precision Industries stahl, x-pipe w/ V-Force mufflers, and a FRPP 4.10 Gear. and i recently put an 1" intake spacer between the upper & lower and am installing a 2-3 row radiator. the gas mileage isnt a huge problem for me, i just hate having to fill up constantly.
