Default Are Underdrive Pullies Really Worth It?

Well if anyone has done them is it worth it and what do you have to do other then just putting them in. Do you need a different size belt? THANKS!!!!

they are worth it. get you around 10hp. every little bit counts. most UD pulleys come in a kit that allows you to keep the stock length belt

keep in mind you will have charging problems,but if you
want to correct it go with a 130a alternator

i only run the crank and water pump pulley and that fixes the charging problem

the crank pulley is the one that gives the most hp back

you can get the street under drive pulley kit if you are concerned about charging problems. not the race kit .

I did the same I only kept the crank and water pump pulley and I needed to get a smaller belt.

asp racing has over-drive pulleys for the alternator also if you run into a charging problem. I do notice that the engine seems to run a bit hotter when going under 35 mph....the electric fan kicks on much more than it used to but over 45 mph there is no difference. I also notice I get more miles on a tank of gas since the change.
