Hmmm. So even with a good auto tranny and 150 shot with slicks I still wouldn't see low 7s? Guess I'll just have to save for some heads.

Get some good flowing heads, AFR's if you've got the money.
Since you're going cheap you could go trick flow even though for most that's not cheap.

I think the AFR's run about 1300 which isn't bad. I've seen stock bottom end cars run low 7s with a charger but I don't want to go that route. So if I go with a decent cam, heads, intake and carb with some gas do you think I would be in the power for low 7s? I can get the tranny built for nearly nothing. What do I need to do to it and where do I buy the parts? It's a overdrive tranny that's in it.
