got codes pulled...
so my car has been acting up, it stumbles at idle and the CEL comes on, dies etc... today leaving the autozone it died as I pulled out, then was bucking at 40mph...
here are the codes the archaic manager using an incredibly archaic reader pulled
33=EGR
54=TPS
91? Air/Fuel mixture is not within range....
does this mean my car is running rich/lean? its been acting up for about a week now... i dont know, the problems started when I put on a new dizzy cap and ignition coil to replace the worn ones...

p.s. the guy also said it pulled code 335 and code 191, which I am pretty sure foxbody's didnt have 3 digit codes... so if it was his error or the machines, I dont know

54. tps out of adjustment i think. verify .6 to 1.01 volatage reading.
33egr....if you dont have your emissions hooked up i think that one always pops.
and 91 is o2 related, with mine all i had to do is remove the o2 harness and clean all the connection. that also fixed a lot of drivability issues.

Clean out your EGR. If you dont have emmissions then REMOVE all that Smog bull**** and get a wiring harness EGR delete from RJM injection. That will fix a ****LOAD of your problems. My 2.3 is pulling the exact same codes and i'm getting ready to clean it out. If that fails im going to delete it all, too bad i wanted to keep that car original. Its already out in my GT tho.
yeah, I dont have cats, so thats prolly why the EGR flips.. but the smog lines, pump etc is still all there... I didnt remove it all right away, cuz there was a talk of bringing the sniffer test to my area, and I didnt want to screw myself over.. I have to double check all that before I whip out the wrenches...
and FivePointOHHH, did you replace your O2s? I was thinking of getting to that myself, god knows what they look like...
I'll have to go out there and clean the connections and see if that helps...
my only other idea was to swap back to the old cap, rotor and coil to see if the problem still persists... which I doubt, cuz the car gave me trouble before that, right before I did the plugs and new 8mm ignition wires...

not having cats will not cause egr codes to set.......set the tps and replace o2's and rerun koer test and see what you come up with and make sure the o2 ground wire/orange wire is attached to the back of the head
I'll get in there at some point this week to clean that stuff out... its just annoying, spending a ton of money on the thing, to have it act up... I think she is spoiled...
