My Performance choice

My Performance choice
Ive finally decided to go with a supercharger for my 92 5.0 hatchback. After doing research a supercharger will give me the power I want without an insane amount of maintenance. Ive seen a lot of used paxton's.... on ebay of course. And I may (even though its a long shot) try and find a used one from a junkyard . But what am I looking for here? I have absolutely no idea what would fit my engine. i don't even think Ive seen a supercharger upfront. And as far as used...all I know is the impeller should be spinning freely, but thats it.

it might be easier for you to read up on superchargers and look at new kits to know what you're needing to make eveyrhting work when you're searching for used....that way you have a refference point. there is a tech section with a sticke in the boost/nitrious area of our forum.

Not a bad choice, but the junkyard probably wont yield much in the way of forced induction.
It you do go the the field, however, you should keep an eye out for GT40 parts from an Explorer/Mountaineer.. cheap alternatives from stock for a few easy ponies.
