Rust hole in my frame????

Default Rust hole in my frame????

What should i do about this? I was thinking just weld a piece of flat steel over it. I can drill it for the threaded part but i dont think i need to.

CUT THE RUST OUT FIRST....cut it back about 1 inch all the way around, gauranteed it extends inward where you can't fully see it, then I'd make a template out of cardboard to fit in the exact size whole you cut, trace it onto metal then weld it in place and then grind weld flat and then place/weld another piece of metal overtop it that extends about 1 inch past the patch on both ends

ill have to cut out a lot of the frame then lol. do i need those threaded holes that are in there? what are they for? also where should i support the frame from when i cut that out of there?

you dont have to weld a whole new plate in do you mjr? i thought when you patch weld you can weld in diamond shaped peices over the seems?

i also have another small hole on ther other side. i dont have a pic but its on the slope of the frame, and theres an angled gusset right there. if your looking at the pass/s its to the right of the shock mount and bump stop. I really dont have much skills with welding but i have to tackle this now since its in my garage. any advice, tips, help are greatly appreciated. thank you.

the picture i posted is on the d/s right but the spare tire well. the other is on the outside of the p/s frame, right in line with the upper cont. arm. its in a place that i cant get into to cut it with a cut off wheel. ill take pics tomorrow night.
