Default t-5 problems question

i recently installed a t5 in my 93 vert and i have a problem and im not exactly sure what is the cause

when i put it in first it goes in fine, as i slowly let out the clutch it pops out, i can get it to take first if i hold it there but it will try popping out, but once its in there and im moving it will stay

also 2nd gear is completely unusable

i can put it in 2nd gear at a stop and slowly let out the clutch and it will just grind also when im driving it does the same gear, so i dont have 2nd at all

the rest of the gears work perfectly

so im curious what is the culprit of the tranny problems

thanks,
Keith

Where did you get the T-5? New/rebuilt or used? Could be clutch adjustment too...

the blocker rings for those gears may be damaged or sincronizer teeth ae bad on the gear hubs of those gears = possible internal tranny issue as long as clutch cable is properly set/ adjusted

yeah, i tried adjusting the clutch cable today, that didnt make it any better
it i adjusted it too much and it started to slip so i know its the tranny

looks like i get to learn how to rebuild a t5 lol

if im not mistaken i think this would be the cause of all my problems..

a broken 1-2 shift fork

would that be the cause for the problems of not having 2nd and popping out of first?
