Well i was gonna change the oil in my rearend and i got board so i decided that i would pull the axles and see how many spline they were...after that i figured i would clean up the trac lok and rebuild it with some new clutches and such...but i know there has been alot of questions about welding diffs and where its good or bad and so far i havent really read of anybody welding their diff on a street car so i figured id make my car the lab rat...so im having the diff welded today and after i get some driving time in on the welded diff ill come back and reflect on it and what i think about a welded diff in a street car.
well i hope it works out for him, but i dont know. especially if its a daily driver, i had a welded rear in a malibu strip car and it was fun but id hate driving every where i wne t everyday. good luck!
i had a spool in a v8 converted s10, wasnt that bad.. acculy i should say minispool, just replaces the spyder's... worked fine for me but i always needed that 2 tire launch.
