charging problems

you mean they should read 12 volts or more?????? at idle????????

well at idle it should be 13.5-14.5 around there. You need to try to figure out if you alternator is putting out the right charge. Since your alternator tested good twice, there is got to be bad wiring somewhere in the system. I say start right by the alternator to prove that its giving out the right charge too. good luck.

No, I mean they should read w/e the battery is reading when the car is off. If it's less or non existent, you'll have to find out why.

^^yeah thats another way. But I think with the car on he can see better if the alternator is putting out within the right range. Either way, will help to find the bad connection.

well my problem went away for a little while, it just started charging out of nowhere, well the car has sat for a couple weeks so i go to drive it and now it is not charging again....
replaced the regulator and that wasnt it...i have thoroughly went through all the wiring except for the one wire that goes through the firewall to the guage but that should not be causing my problem right???
