Default New Fuel Pump

I think im going to have to put a fuel pump in my car but before I buy one I need some advice.

The reason I think I need one is that when my car reaches 5k it starts missing. I know its not the ignition system since I have a new Accel dizzy and coil. I installed a fuel pressure guage on my fuel rail, before swapping the dizzy when the pip went bad, and it read low at idle (about 30 pounds) and when I rev it to about 2k it drops to about 27.

My future plans (within a year or two) is to drop a 408 between the frame rails and I want a pump that will work with my current setup (believed to be a stock 302) and that will also work when I swap the motors. Also I plan on fuel injecting the 408.

Whats the best pump I can get for that app. without spending a crap load of money?

You only need the high pressure if you'll be running boost. Otherwise the standard 255 will be fine.

I probably will just get the standard. I guess what Im asking is...is there any negative effects to running the high pressure on a stock or na motor? If not wouldnt you just have the option for boost if you get the high pressure? Also, do you have any idea if that is a pretty reputable site? Thanks for the advice.

I run the standard 255 in mine. Didn't know about the other beforehand. Mines a Holley but it and most are made by Walboro. I bought it from Summit.
