I'd go with the Vortech...well proven on a Fox Mustang...I've never seen a KB run good on a Fox, if it were a Modular Mustang, different story...

+1 Turbo...but if going S/C I say Vortech V-1....these things are already burn out monsters no need for low end help...I think top end power is way cooler then low end...like when RPM climb and its comes alive like flippin a switch....yeeeeah

how would the cost of installing a turbo compare to that of installing a vortech? I have been considering a vortech since the install seems a bit less complicated then a turbo. I know either one will allow me to reach my hp goal (about 350-400rwhp with gt40ps,explorer intake).

They end up to be about the same....Vortech kit around 3500 so is decent single turbo kit from like BG turbo. Installation depends...with turbos dont have to mess with the accesories. So I dont I think about the same just different types of work. If your car is Daily driven I would probably go with a S-trim blower. Prochargers are super nice too, If you are buying a new kit I would probably go with the Procharger, its intercooled etc.. but you an try to find a kit second hand...Vortech are all over...pay about 1700ish for a used s trim...and with those mods you will make 400hp and get a good tune

Installing a supercharger is very straightforward. There's a few places that you have to modify(radiator hose, air intake bracket, etc.) but it is nothing too difficult. Tapping the oil pan is the hardest part to do. You just have to be careful, more than anything. Just find an installation guide from Vortech or Paxton(can be found on the web). You can can see if your skilled enough to take on the installation by yourself by just looking at these guides.
