3inh exhaust in a mild 306?

building a high compression 306 would i benefit from a full 3 inch exhaust or 2.5 will be fine?

unless it is a full out race motor/car 2.5 will be plenty

any good cam suggestions. i was looking at the afm nh-51hr cam or the f303.

282hr? does that require cuttin the pistons. i got dss flat tops with 1.6 rockers.
