Different front dress arrangements
I have a Fox setup right now. However, I need more hood clearance and radiator clearance.
I know the sn95 front dress has more clearance, but it's incredibly difficult to find (or incredibly expensive), or I can't find all the pieces. Junk yard has nothing, any v8 mustang is stripped clean. March has a great bracket setup for the sn95 (if I got the front cover and water pump), but it's nearly $600, so that's no good.
I read that a 91-93 Thunderbird or Cougar would have more clearance as well. Can anyone confirm this? I haven't looked for this in the junk yard yet, but searching online didn't turn up much.
I also read, but wasn't sure, that the front dress from a 96-01 Explorer might give me more clearance. If so, that sure gives me a lot more places to look. Anyone know if there's any truth to that?
