Default Summit Headers

Just got the summit full length painted headers, and they are a piece of sh*t. The flanges wont match up to the gaskets right, the surfaces arent even close to being flat, or have enough space to weld or work with. If these go on a car, they will most definitely ruin the heads because of the grooves. I guess you get what you pay for, but i thought summit would at least carry a somewhat decent item. So, im looking for some inexpensive headers that wont need a bunch of work to bolt up right and wont leave huge exhaust leaks. Any ideas on a reputable brand thats on a college student budget?
The car is a 92 5.0, already has h pipe and cat back, 410's some u.p's. Looking to get just a little more out of it.
Thanks
Nicholas

1st thing do you have a midpipe meant for a Long Tube Header? Midpipes are different for Long Tubes and Shorties...

2nd... summit brand is usually a cheap product stamped with a summit tag, thier Long Tube Headers are Flowtechs with a summit box... and yes they SUCK

3rd... BBK is def the best bang for your buck out there when it comes to Headers and Midpipe... LTs for a 5spped are like 300$ including Shipping... and they will bolt right up no problems

I personally Run MAC LTs and while i had no fitment issues they RUST like a mother****a

Well the car already has an h pipe and catback with the stock headers, so im thinking about just redoing the whole thing, since i would like it to be louder.. but i just dont want to get in the same boat im in buying headers at an affordable price and having problems with them.

i run summit ceramic shorties without issue. straight flanges, welds were great and everything bolted up wonderfully. summit does have quality products. maybe just by chance you a crappy pair, just call a rep, discuss your issue and get them swapped out. next set you shoulndnt have issues with.
