New engine build advice
First of all hello everyone I am new to this site. I don't have a mustang but I figured this would be the best place to get advice. I am new to the V8 world and I have a 1969 triumph TR6 that used to have a 302 in it befor the transmission blew. I am planning a new engine build but I need a lot of advice. I was to stroke the 302 out to a 347 and would like to make 400 or so HP on pump gas (any octane we have up to 91 out here) This is my list so far but I am sure you have better recommendations. I have nothing but the block and it's a 72 302 block that will be bored over .030 for the stroker kit.
Scat Stroker Kit
Ford 5.0L/5.8L Performer Aluminum Cylinder Head
Performer 390 intake
With this setup I would probably get dished pistions to drop the CR down. With that stroker kit and a 64CC combustion chamber it has about a 10.9:1 CR but those heads only have a 60CC combustion chamber. I know I am missing a ton of stuff I would appricate any advice. I was thinking about doing the hydraulic roller cam conversion but would like advice on that to.
The car will be used for drives on nice days and every once in a while it will see the track.
I plan to run a Tremec TKO 500 transmission
Thank you in advance
Edit: Would something like this be a better way to go for the bottom end http://www.fordstrokers.com/diy-libe...rt-blocks.html Are those solid cam or hydraulic roller?

your combo won't yield 400 hp with a 64 cc head and a dished piston you won't be at 10.9 to 1 cause with a flat top and 58cc heads I'm at 10.5 to 1 also performer heads on a 347 are all wrong = to small and performer 390 is just that = for a 390 not a 302/347, you need a performer rpm or victor jr for a 302/347 and as for cam choice when you get the shortblock from ford strokers, have him refer you to his cam guy Jay Allen and build you a custom cam for a 400 hp recipe
Thank you for the advice. How easy is it going to be to get 400 WHP out of a 347 stroker while still keeping it on pump gas and streetable? Also what is reasonably CR to run with pump gas?

Agreed on the CR. I have 61cc heads and the pistons are flat tops with a -5cc reliefd and I calculated 10.5:1. I have the SCAT stroker 347 in my block.
With my combination, it should be at around 400 at the flywheel.
