Cleaning your O2 sensor won't do anything, replace it. They are just a couple bucks anyways...</P>
If that doesn't solve it, you may be running rich. You could also go ahead and change your plugs & wires, sometimes a misfiring plug/wire can let enough gas build up for a pretty backfire when it does decide to fire again..</P>

I dont know why vfast doesnt think its the TPS, thats what regulates to an extent how much fuel goes in, and thus regulates backfires, and can cause loss in power. Change your TPS and your O2 sensors along with cleaning out the MAF, then you're golden.

OK Stealth, and Vfast, I did replace the o2 sensor and that fixed it. Stealth, I checked the voltage for the TPS, and it was good, .95 and idle, and about 4.5 at WOT. Now, however, my car is pingning. I think I posted in another topic that I baught 7-11 gas for the first time in a long time, I usually buy Chevron or Exxon, so hopefully that is why its pinging. Any ideas would be appriciated.</P>

The pinging could be from regular gas makeing it spark knock.Put the good stuff in it like 93 octane, and go to Advance or Autozone and get some( 104 octane boost ) you'll love. It's like NOS in your tank. You got to pay to play!!! If that dont help check your timing. 89 octane is for the slow and pistoff. 93 if for the fast and fuerios Hope that helps you out !<edited><editID>Banjo picker</editID><editDate>37934.1417476852</editDate></edited>

I always run the good stuff, but here in WA, octane goes to 92, and I put some generic STP octane boost in as soon as I heard the pinging. Cant tell yet if there is a difference. Next, if that doest help, I will check the timing.
