Dude i'd buy that car. The longer it sits there the longer it rots. Clean it up keep it, or resell it after having some fun!

I have no intention of selling the car in the condition that it is in.

One day of work, cleaning and tuning up the car will make a huge difference.

I have mechanical experience, just not with domestics, so I wanted to get as much info as possible on the car before I started messing with it.

Everyone here has been very helpful and I appreciate it. Thanks for all the info.

If I decide to sell it after I get it back in proper shape I'll give you guys first crack at it.

The car has been sitting there for 6 years.

It really is a shame.

To make it worse, she pays her grandparents $100/month to keep the car in the backyard. She's paid at least $7200 to let it rot. Incredible how stupid she is.

I talked to her today about buying it from her. She's due to give birth to her first kid on Halloween and she could use the money. She doesn't want to sell it to me because she knows I'd make money if I resold it after fixing it up. At the same time, she doesn't want to do the work to fix it herself, nor does she have the skills to do so.
