Default Jolting problems

Ive got a reoccuring problem with my '89 5.0 Gt 5 speed, you guys may be able to help. When cruising along at 25-40 mph with hardly any throttle the car is constantly jolting and missing slightly, as soon as you touch the gas its fine. Ive had lots of people give me different answers from clogged injectors to a faulty TPS - has anyone had the same problem?? Ive also bypassed the air pump and stripped all the emisions gear from the engine ( I live in Grand Cayman and luckily we dont have emissions tests here!), this ive also been told may cause problems?

Thanks

whens the last time you did a tune up? air filter, spark plugs gapped properly, fuel filter, oil change etc. also replace the dizzy cap and wires. make sure your timing is set anywhere from 10-13 degrees or so if you are running 87 octane.

you can go higher with higher octane but all engines are different it just a try and see with timing or go and get it dynoed for the highest timing you can get
