My Mustang is a Gutless Pig!!!

Before anyone bashes me, I am just throwing this out. Nothing in his combination really matches well with each other. Big 351 heads, small cam, huge Throttle Body. This car probably has no torque. By the time it gets going, the cam runs out of its power range. I am just giving it a thought.

Nope...... How does having an 80mm TB will affect the low end?

proper troubleshooting begins with process of elimination of known goods, so why not do as mentioned back on page 1 , ford equipped the the mustang with obd 1 that has limited self diagnostic capabilities so why not put it's abilities to use first before making irrational assumptions ??? just a thought

I am running a stock fuel pump and regulator, I have not checked the burn yet. I will do that tonight.

I am not sure if they are the late model heads or the 69-74's. I traded my 66' Galaxie for this car and some money....I guess lesson learned. It's a nice Fox and in great shape. It runs well and is reliable, but I remember my other 89' having more power with less mods. I'm sure you guys are correct, bad setup. What is the best solution, changing to a 65mm TB or what? I do run 93 octane in it. I am used to Carby cars, I have a 64' Chevy II post car, Pro-Street tubbed, halved running a 355 with GM 6-71 huffer, 2 Holley DF DP carbs. Everything on this car is matched perfectly I even had the pistons custom made and a custom grind cam. It can be tuned to run 9.80's in the 1/4. The engine dynoed at 698hp and 706tq. I run the blower underdriven on the street and keep it at a tame 520-550 hp.

Changing the TB for a smaller ID one will not solve your problem, the TB is simply an air valve.... not having it as a bottleneck means that the limitations from the intake and heads are the ones "taking over".
There are a few "unknowns" in that setup that need to be ID'ed first...... cam, valve springs installed, aside the typical checks for initial advance, running the KOEO/KOER self tests, etc. LUK

First you need to define gutless. Chirping the tires is not much of a gauge.
Can you estimate the cars trap speed? This may help point out if there is a parts combination problem OR the car is not running properly due to an ignition problem, dead fuel injector, fuel pressure, tune may be way out etc.
