i put on in my 94 last spring..so far through this year its been ok i guess...i probably wont buy another but it was cheap and my stock one was shot..and i wanted somethin i could take to the track and not be crappy...ill most likely go with the centerforce when ever i need another one someday unless they come out with somethin new...but its workin pretty good
I ran one of these with my H/C/I no problem, but as soon as i put a 150shot to it it wouldnt hold. I've got a centerforce now and i must say the pedal is alot nicer compared to the KC, and so far its holding pretty good.
thanks for all the input...i think ill go kc for now and then centerforce in the future when i go f/i
Trust me, you will be feeling that decision for quite a while. Pay the extra dough, and get the CF now if you want a clutch that doesn't feel like you're doing leg squats every time you switch gears.
I have the KC, and it broke 3 Steeda clutch cables before I got a beefed up one from Maximum Motorsports. So my $150 clutch cost me $290 (150 + 40 + 40 +40) plus the beefier cable and adjuster setup, and its STILL a bear to push.
KC is crap, any clutch with a "lighter pedal feel" is a clutch for a wuss, it's suppost to feel solid, and grip no matter if your babying it or slamming it. go get a frpp quadrant and a HAYS clutch and chirp tire all day.
^^^^^^interesting, mine feels heavy, infact while sitting at lights my foot can get tired......there are a few different versions of the KC...I have the HD KC

Oh come on! I agree it's supposed to feel solid, but killing your leg at a stoplight is over-kill. The point is to be able to enjoy the car, especially if it's a daily driver. If I wanted to work out, I'd buy a weight cage and bust some squats and "feel the burn"! If it's a track car, whatever floats your boat, cause you don't have to ram that thing 150 times an hour in bumper to bumper traffic.
A Centerforce DF is not a clutch for a wuss, and it will hold it's own on most any street car while still remaining comfortable to operate for those of us who don't wanna "feel the burn".
