i could prob get them rebuilt, port and polished, for about $600 from a guy i know that did my stock head's.........

how much gain would i see over my current port and polished rebuilt stock head's to port and polished, rebuilt gt40p head's?

Yes they are better than what you have but you will need the headers for them. The spark plug angle causes issues with regular headers. That is where it gets pricey. Buy them and sell them to someone else.

Craigslist is blocked at work but if they are $100 and it will cost you another $600 plus headers.....i would wait and find a nice set of used aluminum heads.

for a $100 they're worth it...but you're also going to have to get the correct header

correct headers and i'd personally get headwork done on them now while they're off to get the most out of them....if finances allow for it.

If you have them freshened up it would be hard to make a profit after selling them and you also have to worry about getting them sold.

You DO NOT need special headers with GT40P heads.

Im using a cheap set of chrome BBK's and a cut to fit set of 90 degree plug wires.

I did however cut down a plug socket to slip over number 7 and use a wrench to install/remove the plug but it wasnt necessary just made the plug changes a little smoother

But you do not need the P headers.

And yes 100 for them is a good price i got a brand new set for 200 with zero miles.Theyre on my 331 but not for long theyre going to be on my low buck 351 car kraft got almost 400HP doing a similar setup.
