i have a little issue with my car. when it's just sitting and idling it's pretty much just fine... then when i turn the steering wheel it bogs out and dies on me.. whats up with that? a buddy of mine thought that maybe my MAF needed to be cleaned. any suggestions?

 

Sounds more like the Idle Air Control (IAC) solenoid. You should search it as a keyword search in this forum. On the 5.0 there is a way to check the voltage from it, make sure it's running right, even adjust it. Plenty of people here have posted about how to check and adjust it. I have a newer V6 so never done it myself.

 

clean the MAF, EGR, IAC, and the pcv screen. this should help a lot
