Default what's needed to run 9sec?

hi, everyone I believe in doing the suspension and body work first before trying to work a motor. just wont to know what is need for a fox stang to run in the 9 sec bracket.

8 or 10 point cage?
driveshaft safty loop?
driver net and ect?

atleast 600hp, very light car, 10 point cage , very well prepped chassis,and some sticky tires

are u planning to run in the nmra???

sorry dont know much about it as their is nothing like that out here on the west coast really, especially up here in washington....eerrrrrr

A good plan and lots of $$$..........all depends on what combo you want to run...You will need driveshaft safty loop, C-clip elim., certified 10 point cage, Cert. harmonic balancer, Cert. bellhousing, a lic. will also be required!

a lic. for 9 sec??? really??? i thought it was 150 mph and over..which last i checked....your not doing in that in 9 sec...unless you have a crazy mph turbo car...

im not familure with nmra, but nhra you need a license to run into the 9's so 9.99 and faster

yes, you need a license to run 9.99 or faster. 150 and over you need a shoot. You better get the rule book and read it very close there is a lot to it. and the NMRA goes by the sanction rules of the track they race at if it is a NHRA track they go by them rule if it is at a IHRA then they go by them rules. then they have there own class rules on top of that.
