Default NEED HELP W/AFTERMARKET SEATS

Has anyone installed aftermarket seats in their 89-93 GT. Most seats I have seen are so wide in the back that they interfear with the seatbelt retractor. If you have done this did you make your own brackets or make new mounting points? HEEEELLP

I put corbeau seats in my 93. Im not using the stock seatbelts but I think it would work fine with them. I used the stock seat brackets with a corbeau adapter. Here is a few pic so you can see how wide it is but most aftermarker seats I think would fit. Also most places will give you measurements of the seat on their website.

I have APC racing seats in my car.I made an adapter bracket from the seat to the factory sliders.
It hits the door slightly.I keep the seatbelt in the seat when it is not on.It doesn't get in the way at all.

Mustang ANY WAY YOU CAN SEND PICS> I have a convert and a roll cage and what i am finding is that becasue i have no tilt wheel when i set the Seats ( I HAVE APC ALSO) in they are in a very awkword position for shifting. I am 6-2. Maybe I will have to just deal with it. Did you remove the APC slides or mount the factor brackets under them?

This is how I did it.
I went and bought a peice of angle steel.I left the factory sliders in the car.I removed the APC sliders.I first marked and drill the angle steel to fit the sliders.I then bolted the angle steel to the sliders and bolted them back into the car.I then stuck the bolts in the bottom of the seat. Then sat the seat on top of the sliders in the car and traced the head of the bolts onto the angle steel. Then removed the seats and drilled the holes in the sliders.I then bolted then to the seats. Then installed the seats.I had to leave the seat screws a hair loose till I got the sliders bolted to the floor and then tightened the screws in the seats.
