It's not really a hard job but it's a little time consuming. I'd definitely recommend having an extra set of hands. It's basically undo the shifter handle, drain tranny, remove midpipe, remove driveshaft, unhook clutch cable, unbolt tranny and remove bell housing.

You'll also need to get the flywheel resurfaced before the reinstall...

if you have a manual it won't be all that hard, you just need the average hand tools and jack and stands and an afternoon and it can be done

I agree with ^^^ ...make sure you disconnect the battery (starter)...and make sure you have plenty of extensions to get the top bolts on the T-5

Its not to bad at all, the T5 doesn't weight allot. Getting the car up off the ground and safe is the key part. So you can wiggle and jerk stuff around with out it falling off some tiny $20 jack stands. You want it up high enough so you got room to work but not so high that your arms can't hold it in place while laying flat on your back.

changed a T5 by myself before with no problems, well one snag, I painted the crap out of it, then the trans wouldn't fit in the bell, had to scrap the paint out of the circle in the bell that the trans goes in. [painted it with some 99cent blue just so it looked nice, the neighbor goes on n on about me painting it though you can't see it. So I bought some pricy neon green engine paint and painted it again, just to annoy him.]

Change a TH350 once by myself and that was a chore gettin it up in the air.
Ended up cutting some slots in the floor and used ratchet straps to hoist it up as getting it on the jack under the car was to much alone. Done an auto trans in a Plymouth Duster alone and it was cake, just bench pressed the trans up and down but that TH350 weighed 9000lbs. Other then that it was simple too.

Get greasy
