I'm having a similar problem with no heat and blinkers, and yes it is the ignition switch. Try this the next time the blinkers and heat doesn't come on, just kind of wiggle and slightly push in the key after you have crunk it up...I have to do this each time when I start my now. The ignition switch must have a short in it, but I won't fix it until they completely stopped working.

You should be able to remove the steering column covers and see it.

yea the ignition switch is the one you put your key into to start the engine. sorry it took so long to respond. been busy lately.

that would be a module not a switch like it's labeled. the ign switch is where the key goes, what you're looking at is called an ign module....

well that is why i was confused. i thought the thing you put the key in was the ignition not the ignition "switch". about how long does it take to put a new one in?
