i wanna upgrade my ignition i can spend around 250 300 i was looking at the proform hei distributors (part # 66969B on summit) since they are ovb better than stock and have a pretty powerful coil on them for a decent price my motor is basicaly stock right now i have a bbk cai, 3.90 gears, custom glasspack exhaust, thats about it motor wise, i am also upgrading the fuel pump and regulator because my fuel pumps shot. all this is in plans for a hci as soon as i can get some money together. any sudjestions?

yeah , if your efi don't waste your money on a distributor upgrade, the stock one is more than adequate..and if you are EFI an GM style HEI Will not work

You can get a msd 6al for that price but thats about it. Or go with cranes hi6 box, it is dial adjustable rev limiter instead of msd pill style. I like crane's better. If you throw in a little extra get yourself a coil to.

Because it is capable of handling the revs of a stock motor. The only reason really to upgrade is if yours is shot and you have the cash to waste, are building a higher reving car, or just have a motor you think is worth getting a new one for. The MSD cap and rotor is a nice upgrade along with a aftermarket TFI module. Other than that leave the dizzy alone.
