Default exhaust setup?

hey guys, I'm thinking of saving up the money to do an exhaust system on my 95 cobra. I was gonna do cam, port the heads and some other things but after driving the car more I've got enough power for now. So, I was thinking of going with bbk shorty headers into some type of x or h pipe into just mufflers with dumps instead of a catback. I'm looking for recommendations on mufflers. I dont want to go with flowmasters, I'm tired of the drone. they sound great just looking for something new without the drone. I was thinking of slps but I heard they make it sound pritty much like a truck. so I'm open to suggestions I just dont want to go with chambered mufflers because of drone. thanks in advance

I didn't want to go with the macs either because I heard they have just as bad as drone. I'll look into the dynomaxes though

Magnaflow might be a good bet. also look into a catted midpipe if you don't want it too loud.

Cherry Bomb Vortex. A great design and build not typical of CB. They can be buzzy on a non V8 but these could be something from left field that you'd like.I really like them.

magnaflow or dynomax. i have dynomax race bullets on my stang and magnaflow on my f-150, both are great mufflers, the race bullets are much louder tho

I'm old school and still love flowmasters but on my wifes 03 GT I have a mac Prochamber leading into an SLP Loudmouth II system. It's sweet sounding. I had the Loundmouth system on it first and it was way to loud. I put the Loudmouth II mufflers on it and she loves it. Magnaflow also makes a sweet sounding muffler

ok well I'll probably decide between the dynomax race bullets and the slp loudmouth II mufflers. thanks for all your guys help.

I heard the cherry bomb vortex on an older celica. I know that it would probably sound different on my car but that thing was annoying as hell on that

The bullets will be just as loud as the slp1's because really all they are is resonators not mufflers..But the bullets or the slp1's sound sick with long tubes and a good o/r x pipe like a dr. gas.I personally run a mac catback and i love the ways it sounds.Quite different then flows.
