Default can u really adjust the e-brake?

i did a search as well as look through the Haynes manuel and hear there is an adjusting nut but i cannot find it.The rear drums are adjusted correctly but the brake barely holds on the smallest incline and it has to be on the last click.i took the center console out and still cant find it.Does anyone know how to do it if it can be done?any specific directions to locate the adjusting nut?its an 88 gt

There is no adjusting nut on a 87-93. At least my 87 doesn't have one.

They are on the four eyed cars for sure.

you sure you have the drums adjusted good enough? you gotta adjust them till you get some good drag while turning the wheel then your good to go.

no thats only 86 and below. 87+ have self adjusting, and once the cables are stretched too much.... no more e-brake..... my 88 never worked. i think i'll have to put new cables in my 83 soon
