stud girtle ?
Anyone telling you it will stop the caps from walking is again fooling themselves. A girdle will NOT help capwalk. Symonds an answer to your PM, dont worry about it for your application, the best you can do is use an ARP main stud, this will still require an align hone as the clamping load of a stud is far different than a main bolt.
I never had my block line bored after I installed the main girdle on my old motor ran it for almost 4 years never had any bearing problems at all till it cracked the block. and I never seen any cap walk on the bearings at all. so all I can say is what I have done and what has worked for me.
Cap walk is evident on the register and main cap. Here is where they start to crack and move towards the cam tunnel, the front bulkhead is thin on the roller 302's, this block had a main girdle. The main bolt holes go all the way through which weakens the main immensely unlike a windsor.

Do you even have a clue what cap walk is? Next thing your going to tell us is a rear end girdle isn't helpful and rocker arm girdles are useless.
By time you are running enough spring pressure to warrant a stud girdle you make the smart move and run a shaft.
