every ford racing gear set I have installed has used a pinion shim, so if they didn't use one at all I'd question the pinion depth for sure, on the 3.73 set ups I have done I have used anywhere from a .020 to .030 shim, but you need to run the pattern and check backlash specs.... the pattern will tell you the potential for noise as well as the spec for backlash, the article outlines some good points

i think i found the problem i was looking under car inspecting and i started to turn the driveshaft and noticed where pinion connects to driveshaft there is play in pinion. i dont think they tightened it how it was suppose to be i dont even think they crushed the crush sleeve.
The way the pinion moves in this video at beginning is how mine is moving

I'd start from the begining and check all the set up, sounds as if they did a **** poor job...or take it back to them and demand repair

I would take it back to the shop before you start ripping apart...once you rip apart, it'll be your problem!

...Just take them for a test drive & they should fix for you...You'll be OK since you have only put a few miles on the gears

im going to take it back tomorrow morning but i think im going to have to stay their and tell them how it suppose to go, cause i dont think the mechanic even knew he had to tie it till he crush's the sleeve, i tried to take off drive shaft bolts but couldnt, those screws are tight on there, and also it is pretty hard trying to do it when car is not lifted high and laying on your back, i can just imagine if i would of tried to tighthen the pinion nut.
