headers for a boss 302
I am getting ready to put a boss 302 with a c-6 trans. in a 1985 mustang. I was wanting to use some headers on it. Does anyone know what headers I need to buy? Will a set of 351C 4v headers for a 1969 to 1970 mustang work or do I need the 69 - 70 boss 302 headers. I am sure they are not a direct bolt in they may need moved some. Will the c-6 just bolt in or do you need to massage the floor pan and firewall a little bit?

Sorry for getting everone excited, but it is not a factory boss 302. It is one that I built, it consist of a 302 bored 60 over with forged flat top pistons and 289 rods, balanced. Then I put a set of 351 4v closed chamber heads on it with port plates from MPG heads on the intake and exhaust side. Put the big valves in the heads and machined the heads for screw in studs, with rockers and guide plates. Then put a factory boss 302 intake on it with a pro systems 750 dp holley. ARP oil pump shaft and high volume oil pump and custom ground hydrolic cam and a 2500 stall. Nice little street engine.

Get a header kit and a Tig welder, you are going to be busy I think, lol I wish I had some advice for you but I lost as far as off the shelf headers. I built a set for a 351C in a Fox a few years back, Never again
