Default Cooling Problems

Ive tryed and tryed to cool my car down. It will heat up to about 240 and wont go any further than that. When it gets that hot steam starts to leak through one of my freeze plugs. Then i pull the tap on my radiator cap and you can feel water start to shoot through the upper radiator hose? Is the freeze plug my problem. I have a new Griffin Aluminum radiator, 180 thermo, New Waterpump. Please tell me it is the freeze plug!!!!!

awesome. I am going to completely flush the whole system tommorow, put in a new fan clutch and replace the freeze plug. We'll see how that is tommorow. Is it overheating because the freeze plug is letting all of the pressure out of my system?

ok i thank i have it fixed, but i just wanted to ask you guys something. When i warm up my car and let it sit without going anywhere, in other words just sitting in my garage. My temp gauge is a little below the M in NORMAL is this a ok temp for just sitting or should it be lower? Thx

lol. you ought to get some real gauges instead of relying on the stockers...
