Air intake = bad gas mileage?
Hi guys a few weeks ago i put a urp fender well cold air intake on my 89 mustang gt it is all stock except it has cherry bomb pro mufflers and no more cats. Before the intake i was getting 150 to 165 miles on a full tank and now with intake i`m getting 130 to 140 any help would be great thanks.

ya true. Driving more aggressive will sharply decrease your mpg. Esp cold air should be giving you better mpg. I always stick with either shell or bp because of the high ethanol that they have in their gas. This will def give you more mpg and make your engine run better.

LOL: a 10% ethanol mix in your fuel will not change your MPG significantly. If anything it will just have different exhaust products.
Check your install: Make sure your hose clamps are tight, your sensors are plugged in, your filter is on tight.
Check your driving: Your foot is the number one thing that will contribute to poor gas mileage.

ethanol has a way lower BTU then gasoline(meaning drastically less MPG), corrosive to regular engines, and is a net-loss product
anyway back On Topic, shouldnt a CAI actually decrease MPG? colder air is denser therefore has more oxygen, more oxygen will need more fuel to keep the correct A/F mixture, thus more fuel is injected into the engine...

I think you have your foot in the gas a little harder, did you pull the codes?
