351 swap info in a 1994 gt
So i'm obviously wanting to go with a larger engine bore, but getting a lot of negative feed back for the 347 idea. Would a 351, in the end, cost me as much to put in as it would to buy a 331 stroker kit, and have it assembled and balanced?

well, first off, the 351W has the same bore as the 302. the deckheight is longer, allowing a larger crank to fit in, which gives more cubes.
secondly, it all depends on how you want to build it. how much power are you lookin for? do u want to stroke it right off the bat?

The 347 problems are over with I dont know why everyone on here keeps saying that. They changed the wrist pin location years ago and those motors are just as good as any of the others.I go 351 antways just cause there is no special parts you need just throw it on in!
