Default Another Quadrant Question

I got the quadrant out with no problem, but the pawl doesn't slide off because there is a support that it keeps running into. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Sorry about the lack of detail, it's hard to explain. I got it off and got the new quadrant on. Putting the new cable, quadrant and firewall adjuster took about 15 min, as opposed to the 4 hours it took me to get all the old stuff out lol.

Yeah, the pawl is a pain in the ***. I had to force mine off too. Didn't take me 4 hours though...
New one does go right on no problem..
