Default AFR vrs Edelbrock heads

There are a set of edelbrock stage 3 ported heads sitting on the floor at the local speed shop... I was just wondering if it would be worth the wait to get the AFRs or just go with the set of edelbrocks that are already here..

Another question is what is the difference in power gains between the edelbrock (standard) and the AFR 165s.... Are the AFRs really worth the wait??? I hear that you have to wait like 3 weeks for afr to assemble the heads...

I am not sure if i have enough for the ported edelbrocks so how do the standard edelbrocks compare to the praised AFR 165s....

Thanks in advance....

You're going to wait longer than 3 weeks for your AFRs
mine took 2.5 months!

I would go with the ones you really want. Most people like the AFR's. If you want them and have to wait a while it dosent matter cause it what you want. Think about it so your not kicking yourself in the azz later.

Thats what i am trying to figure out which ones i want.... How do the 2 heads pair up to each other??? I know the AFRS make better numbers but how much better??? Will the edelbrocks be good for my set up or would the afrs be better???

Thanks for the replies

I can tell your looking for exact numbers but I don't know.. Your looking at a good amount of hp gains in the AFRs over the edelbrock. The 165s have the same valve size but they definitely produce more power. If you can wait I would. Try googling the topic im sure they're plenty of articles on the same question you have.
