Default carb swap distributor

i got a 92 stang. im swaping to a performer air gap manifold and performer 600 cfm carb and i need to know what kind of distributor i need to run. i was looking them up on ebay and i have no idea what i need.

depends on ignition system you want to use, IMO for a budget swap, duraspark II is the best bang for the buck, the whole set up can be had for 100 bucks at napa or autozone

i dont wanna run points system. my friend was teling me to get an old dizzy and then get this converter to electronic forlike 60. but i didnt know where to buy the dizzy or what yoar car to get one off. does it matter if it the roller engine or not? and what would i ask for from napa? lik do i ask for a 92 dizzy or or a carborated year?

for one if you use a point distributor it must be equipped with a steel gear for a roller cam and the kit your pal refers to is a petronix ignitor kit that replaces the points, the easiest way for you is go to napa and ask for a distributor for an 85 gt 5 spd car = duraspark distributor with steel gear and the duraspark ignition box and matching coil

Make sure you say 5 spd and not automatic.

Here is an excellant way to go. This is a Summit Brand ready to run distributor. It the exact distributor as Mallory (both built by Prestolite) It's a good unit and has the gear you need. It's easy to wire up, well built and fairly inexpensive.

yeah i was looking at this one this morning. one think (among many) i didnt know is what the trigger style means. i dont know what it is at all. thanks for the input. it helps alot.
