Depends on what the goal is and the supporting engine modifications.

holley systemax 2 flows allot and is well liked on forced induction cars that don't want a short runner box type but it lacks the lower torque that tfs and gt40 type intakes give you

I'm personally a big fan of the GT40 intakes (Explorer, Cobra, etc.,). They seem to provide the best range of torque and horsepower. Yes, others will have more top end, but the GT40s have really good low and mid range (which is were most cars are driven).

ok i have completely stock lower half stock heads, i am na right now but plan on adding nitrious. so if that helps. but lets talk about the explorer intake.... i have heard this from several places and friends with 5.0s, that port an explorer manifold upper and lower it can compete with expensive aftermarket manifolds. can it handle nitrious and potentially up to 400 hp? let me know

If you have a stock block, stock heads and plan on running nitrous only don't waste your money on an intake. Buy a nitrous system that has a wet plate that bolts between the upper and lower intake. That way it will bypass the T-body, upper intake and shoot that Oxygen, Nitrogen and fuel within just a few inches of the cyl head opening. Your heads will be the weak link in this equation and you can put more through the stock ports than the engine can stand. Here ya go
