weight reduction

Default weight reduction

i got the car weighed today and i was wanting to hear your opinions on it keep in mind its still a street car with a/c and interior
its a lx hatchback
final weight was 3049lbs just car no driver
what do you guys think is that good or should i take a bunch out i was hoping for a little less than that but i dont know what they weigh stock

rear seat delete, carpet underlayment, a/c removal, if no emissions smog delete, all that should yield a easy 100 lbs reduction

remove spare tire a given, racing seats, sound deadning material underneath hatch panels, smog delete, aluminum heads, and obviously an ac delete oh and a red neck rear seat delete wich i did. i did all this on my lx hatch and havent weighd it yet so im hopen for somethn under 3,000 lbs

well it still does have the spare tire and jack with a 75-85 lb stereo system and that was with a full tank of gas with about 30 more lbs. of crap in the back seat

I actually just ripped out all of my interior everything except for the front seats. My wife walked outside and saw a huge pile of crap and said " Your car looks like **** now." I said " maybe, but it weighs alot less now.." she said " I'm not riding in that thing like that....." I said "good it will way even less that way." That pi$$ed her off a little bit lol.

Said it all with a straight face too!
