Fan / Radiator ??
At what point do you determine it is necessary to upgrade your fan setup and radiator? Im currently running my stock rediator and fan but im adding a TON of mods and if it would be best to do it now i would rather do it and get it out of the way!!
Your input is greatly appreciated..
Thank you,
Bob

I would say get a 3 or 4 core and an electric fan out of a Mark VIII or Taurus, that should cool you down enough. I know my Mark VIII fan can pull the shirt off me from 3 feet away, its so badass. As I was saying that should be enough. Im not an expert though thats just from personal experience. My buddy ran that setup on a fully built 400 hp 351W and he hasnt had any cooling problems yet.
NOTE: If you get the Mark VIII fan it will blow a 30 amp fuse if you run it on high, so make sure you use a good size fuse and heavy duty relay.

if your not doing anything TO crazy, then just get a Mark8 fan, and a DCC controller.
with my mod's all i had for cooling mods was a aftermarket aluminum radiator, not sure how big it is, as it was on the car when i got it.
always had overheating issues in high heat, and sitting in traffic.
mark 8 & DCC has changed all that for me.
i thought the 94 and up came with an electric fan?
if so, then id just go with a bigger ALUMINUM radiator.
if not, keep stock radiator and add Mark8 and DCC controller

I dont mean to thread jack but 302army187 where do you get the DCC controller, how much and are they hard to hook up? I am just gonna have mine run off a switch through a relay. What are the advantages of a DCC?

buy the FK35 kit. $130.
Basically the controller only turns on the fan HOW much you need it.
instead of like stock where its "ON/OFF".
The controller will turn on the fan only how much you need it 20-30-40-50-etc % of what you need to cool down the car.
it also has the "soft" start where it wont blow fuse's and such, or fry anything.
i went from overheating in light traffic, to NEVER going over the "M" of "NORMAL" on the temp gauge.
even when i parked the car and let it run for 20min, when i just got done driving it for 20 miles.
I also have the DCC set up to run the fan at 10% power non-stop because of my under drive pulleys, its a stranded feature that comes with the DCC.
I also hooked up a 3 way switch, "Street mode" (where it run's 10% all the time, and at 180degrees it will cool me off like normal) "Off" (fan will not turn on no matter how hot the car gets) and "Track mode" (basically just runs the fan NONSTOP at 50% power so i can cool the car in between laps)

i got a jegs brand aluminum radiator and love it. thicker then stock but width and height are the same. rarely have to turn my fan on as long as the car is moving just a little. only need the fan in stop and go driving
