ok... I would love to see you going 150mph on the highway!

everyone have there own idea... but I really think 4.10 plus is for a drag car.

I like my 4.10s going trough town... but interstate is a pain in the *** so if you plain on going on a long haul I wouldnt go with 4.10s.

my AOD started going out within 2-3bottles of a 100shot of giggle gas.

if you add to much power, you better rebuild that AOD, or swap it for a T5 like im doing.
much cheaper just to put in a T5 IMO.

buy some bolt-on's while you decide what you really wanna do with the car.

cold air intake, 65-70mm throttle body and EGR, full exhaust, gears, 24lb injectors and 73mm MAF, upgrade your alternator, upgrade your brakes, electric fan, bigger radiator, ETC.

BTW with my AOD, i went from 2.73 stock gears to 4.10's.

world of a difference.

at 65mph im at 2krpm with 26" tall tires, so it's really not that bad, just dont drive so damn fast.

its your car, your asking for advice, and most of the guys on here, including myself, will give up some "street-ability" for better performance.

my choice of heads will be ether AFR 165's or Trickflow twisted wedge heads. havent decided as its still about a year before I seriously consider it.
Im more worryed about getting a rollbar, racing seats, and harness so i can run it at the track.

if it's your only car, you need to be careful with that AOD, there turd's

^ Are you sure your speedo is correct? According to online calcuators you should be around 2300-2400 @ 65MPH...

i doubt its DEAD on.

maybe 2mph off.

and im going off the stock tach.

so theres room for error.

ive had 2 different stock car's pace me, and talk on the phone at verious speeds and see how "off" it might be. at 80-85mph its like 5-8mph off.

the 4.10 speedo gear isent 100% accurate, it said that from the site i bought it from.

Im reviving my dead topic haha. I want opinions on 65 vs 70 mm tb for a lightly modded car. Is the 73mm MAS a good choice? And bbk shortys or ford racing??

id go with a 65mm for the gt40 intake, heads and a mild cam, but if your going with a more aggresive cam, go 70mm or bigger.

I guess 65 would be best for me. Any opinions on the other things I mentioned.
ps camaroeater, did you get your car painted that color or is that how it came?? It looks like the same color as mine but mine is all the same tone
