Underdrive pully lie
Last week I installed a new waterpump on my 89 5.0. While I was at it, I thought it would be a good time to install some BBK underdrive pulleys. The pulleys state no change in water flow, amps, etc. but I found out different. Stop and go traffic the heat stays warm, but a 30 mile highway ride at 65 mph the heat gets cooler, and cooler the further you go. I watched my temp guage and it stayed steady. Is this the norm with underdrive pulleys?

are you saying the car gets colder and colder as you drive on the highway?
im not understanding what your saying.....
yes, underdrive pulleys normally cause more issues then they do good results.
my car had would over heat in mild traffic, and not charge properly.
so i swaped the OEM alternator pulley back on, and installed a electric fan.

I don't agree with tim...*L*
if you still have the old clutch fan I bet the clutch is wore out.....I would just use the crank pulley as this is where most of the power is from...it's not the pulleys fault we have a low amp alt in these cars...I use one from a f150 with an auto with the full set and no heating up, no electrical issues..
what these pulleys do alot of time is expose a exsisting issues
