Throttle pressure cable, is that like a muffler bearing? I've never heard of such a thing.

the tv cable is under the tb by your throttle cable if the tv cable (throttle valve cable) is broken or not working correct it will not allow the transmission to shift right and in some cases it will get hung up on the throttle and cause your throttle to stick open so i wouldent be driving around while it is broke i have a link but i dont know how to post it you might be able to find it i had this same problem before go to the autozone web site and look for (tv cable) under automatic transmission and it might help you

What ever you do, don't drive it!!!! The throttle valve pressure is critical to the tranny's survival. Without the TV cable, you can literally burn it up in just a couple miles. Have you tried the local Ford dealer?. I've seen a couple recently at my local junk yard.

yea im def not driving it im driving my daily but i wanna get this car back on the road cause my daily is def a p.o.s and adjustment is critical as well as the cable being in the right condition but mine is broken at the trottle and burned up at the tranny its not that bad but i dont wanna take any chances with it that y i was hoping to strike some luck and see if anyone either had a spare or knew of a place to buy one because automatic 5 liters are like gold and junkyard where im from u hardly see them there and when they are there they arnt there for long

For you to burn up that tranny would be hard unless your a total idiot! No offense but for it to be in that state of un-adjustment you'd feel the tranny not shifting or shifting way too soon a half a block from yopur drive way., so as soon as you would notice that ., get out and re-adjust it! Dont be scared by those that say dont move it or take it to a pro.., nah not needed! I've been working on my aod's for the longest and have never had issues!! Actually funny true story here.., i took my 5.0 to a tranny shop and they rebuilt the aod but when i went to test drive it fresh out the shop they tv cable wasnt even adjusted.., yeah. car wouldnt shift out of 1st for nothing!, from a shop! I got out the car and did it myself! Point being Do It Yourself unless you have a really trust worthy mechanic that knows!
