pcv issues.
well i've still got issues with this. i tried deleting the pcv and just running the one breather, i was told this would work from a chevy guy, lol. well it ran fine normally, but at wot i'd get too much crankcase pressure and it would shoot out the dipstick. so, i was thinking of getting rid of the breather which i was told to do on here, then maybe just run a air/oil separator in my pcv system. have any of you guys had experience with this? i need ideas with this. cause it was quite embarassing when i raced a t/a then had smoke coming from my hood. lol.
get a higher flow PCV...what V/C do you have? you know they have a new gasket out that will let the Stock V/C clear those rockers..
I don't use a PCV VALVE OR THE T/B TUBE FROM THE V/C of my s'c car, just a screw in filter on the oil spout on the v/c

and where would i get this higher flow pcv? i've never heard of one. I've just got summit v/c's, they do have baffles. but i don't think thats causing my issue at all. the guy that told me to run the breather now seems to think that my motor's junk.
you need to find the root cause not try and cover it up with some other part......blowing the dipstick up is a sign of excessive crankcase pressure, I have the same short block you do and never had such an issue....shove a vaccum gauge in the dipstick tube and at idle take a reading and then go for a drive with gauge taped to windshield and then take that reading, we use a vac gauge all the time on bmw's at work to see when the crankcase vent system is malfunctioning on them, but then again bmw's have more complex vent system then a mustang, either way what you are trying to determine is where the pressure is coming from and if it is excessive in the crankcase, then blowby may be a possibility, are your rings seated yet??
i had this same problem with mine. realized i did not install the pcv splash guard on the bottom of my systemax intake. it does not come preinstalled. dont know if that helps out at all but thats what my oil in the intake was from.
i have no idea if my rings are seated yet, i have no way to do a leak down test. i'll do that test tomorrow and let you know. its saposed to have waht, 2 or 3 inchs of vac? i don't remember.
tell me more about this please. i bought my intake used so i'm not even sure what the heck your talking about. maybe mine didn't have one.
