i am bout to go to the parts store and pick up the pilot bearing i heard that u use one for a 1983 ranger diesel is this right

84 i belive is what ive always used.Maybe the same as 83 i dont remember.

Ive used the 4 banger T-5's behind my 351 they hold up on the street on radials but generally havent lasted a long time when im on the strip with slicks and leaving the gate at 4500 rpms.

If this is a warmed over street car with radials you will be fine.I do suggest whatever T-5 you get you upgrade the shift forks or atleast check to see if theyre bent.Seen quite a few with bent shift forks.

ok so the one for a 83 dont fit in the crank it is way to small

its a from an 1984 ranger diesel thats the one i used perfect fit and if you can take the old one out to compare the size i think the one from the 83 is the same also but you have to ask for the one from a diesel ranger i got mine from oreillys for like 5.95
