I know many of you have swapped out your 85 mph speedo with a 140 mph speedo. What all is entailed in the swap? Are there gears that need to be replaced? Any info would be helpful. Thanks all...

https://mustangforums.com/forum/5-0-...l.html#3591186 thats for removing the whole cluster....then all you do is remove the plastic front and unbolt the speedo and toss a new one in...no gear change as long as the 140 speedo isnt messed up or anything

 

it's not hard, just follow the instructions in the link

 

I had read the article in the teck section, but it didn't mention if there was anything else needed to complete the install. I now if you change the rear gears, you need to change the speedo gear, but just didn't know if there was anything needed to just change the speedometer. Thanks for your help with this..
